Job Summary

We are seeking reliable, safety-focused individuals for a PRN (on-call) snow removal position. Employees in this role are called in on an as-needed basis during snow and ice events to assist with plowing, shoveling, salting, and general snow management operations. This position requires flexibility, dependability, and the ability to report to our office ready to work within one (1) hour of being contacted.

On-Call & Availability Requirements

• Must be available on an on-call basis during snow and ice events, including early mornings, evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to arrive at the office fully prepared to work within one (1) hour of receiving a phone call or text notification
• Must maintain a reliable phone and be reachable while on call
• Failure to respond or report within the required timeframe may result in removal from the on-call roster

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform snow removal services including shoveling, snow blowing, plowing, and ice control
• Apply ice melt and salt materials as directed
• Clear sidewalks, driveways, entrances, parking areas, and other designated areas
• Operate snow removal equipment safely and efficiently (training provided as needed)
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Work extended shifts during major snow events as needed
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Report any property damage, safety hazards, or equipment issues immediately

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be physically able to perform strenuous outdoor work in cold and winter conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on feet for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license preferred (position may involve driving company vehicles depending on assignment)
• Reliable transportation to and from the office
• Prior snow removal or landscaping experience is a plus, but not required
• Must demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic

Compensation

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience
• Paid only for hours worked during snow events
• Pay rates, minimum shift hours (if applicable), and overtime will be explained at hire

Work Conditions

• Outdoor work in cold, snowy, and icy conditions
• Long or irregular hours depending on weather conditions
• Seasonal position with no guaranteed hours
